The Most Reverend, Diego Davila Aponte
Bishop Diego Davila Aponte was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on May 18, 1985. He is the Frist son of Reverend Diego Davila Diaz and Gloria Aponte Rivera, and the third sibling of 6. He Is also a twin. Bishop Davila attended elementary, secondary and high school as well as college in Puerto Rico with outstanding grades. He has received a Bachelor’s in Social work from Universidad del Turabo, A batchelor’s in Theological Studies from Logos University as well as a Master’s in Social Work from UTEP. Currently pursuing a Doctor’s in Multidisciplinary Studies.
Bishop Diego Davila Aponte received his calling to The Office of Pastor and was ordained on January 3 1999 and began Pastoring at age 14 even though he has been preaching since age 7. The first church he pastored was Path of Holiness Pentecostal Missionary Church in Caguas Puerto Rico (Iglesia Pentecostal Misionera Camino de Santidad) from 1999 to 2003. Then Bishop founded the Iglesia Cristiana Como un Viento Recio MI Inc. in the town of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. By 2005 The church had given birth to 10 churches and the it was established the Council of Iglesias y Ministerios Cristianos Como un Viento Recio MI Inc. And he was Consecrated a Bishop in The Lord’s Church on January 6, 2006 and Presiding Bishop of the Fellowship he founded. On 2007 while serving in the military as a Reservist, Bishop Davila traveled to the Dominican Republic where he established and founded seven churches and two in the Republic of Haiti.
Bishop Davila served as a Religious Affairs Specialist (Chaplain Assistant 56M) in the US Army from April 2007 until November 18 2015, after having deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and New dawn as well as to Afghanistan twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Bishop as also traveled as a religious liaison both as a Soldier and Clergy to the Countries of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Israel, England, France, India, Egypt, Kuwait, Philippines, Germany, Ireland, Central and South America, amongst many more to expand The Kingdom of God on earth as an Ambassador. Bishop Davila currently Oversees Churches in the USA, PR, Dom Rep, Cuba, Philippines, India, Mexico, Pakistan, Indonesia, Central and South America as soon Canada, Thailand and other projected places.
Bishop Diego Davila Joined the Bridge Network on July 2013 and was affirmed on July 24 2014 as Bishop of International Affairs which he still occupying until present. During this time the ministry has expanded worldwide and continues to establish networks on the Hispanic region as well as multicultural liaison to the Bridge.
Bishop Davila established Hope Cathedral Christian Church in the city of El Paso, Tx on April 1, 2014 with the Torres family and the church began to grow and several Ministries were birthed included Uncion Divina Church with Pastor Joe Rodriguez, Iglesia Esperanza de Gloria on Horizon City with Pastor Serafin Gonzales, Casa de Impacto y Restauracion with Pastors Henry and Jennie Albert Iglesia Guerreros de la Fe with Pastors David and Nivea Avila and soon we will be launching Imani Christian Cathedral of El Paso with Pastor Daniel Rodriguez.
Currently our beloved Church/ Cathedral is being pastored by Rev. Isela Delgado, our Executive Pastor. Our ministry is going through a period of preparation for what is to come.
Our assistant and daughter in the Lord, The Very Reverend Matilde Feliz Aquino serves as the International Overseer and is located in the Dominican Republic. She has been a great blessing to the Office of International Affairs at all levels as well as establishing connections with other ministries. The International Jurisdictions also Oversees our Theological Seminar (DR) as well as a Biblical Institute. Bishop Davila’s mission continues to be of bridging the Sincere and the Sacred with the guide and covering of his Spiritual Father and Mentor, The Most Reverend Jelani Faraja Kafela, Presiding Prelate and Founder of The Bridge Network Covenant Fellowship by honoring the visionary of the hour.
